Moses it the first author that God inspired to write the Bible. Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible – Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy (last chapter wrote by Joshua).
He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” Exodus 15:26 (NIV).
Death angel came and killed every first born including first born of animals.
This caused Pharaoh to let the Egyptians go but he then went after them. Because “a double-minded man is unstable in all of his ways.” James 1:8
People get angry with God but can’t see Him so they turned on Moses.
We all may be struggling problems and in need of a healing.
1. Emotional Healing
2. Physical Healing
3. Spiritual Healing – without a healing, your diagnosis is terminal; must acknowledge you need a spiritual healing; can have your conscious so seared that you don’t know you need a spiritual healing
Must have spiritual healing. You may not have an emotional and physical healing in this life. That’s why evangelism is so important.
Trials and troubles can get us back on track. Helps us grow closer to Him. “Before I was afflicted, I went astray.”
Sometimes our pain is related to personal sin. It’s because we’ve invited trouble in….we’ve been doing wrong.
Its OK to go to professionals but go to the Great Physician first. If you go see God, He’ll send you to the right professional.
We need the community of faith. This is the best place for healing. God can work with His own children. When you have a problem – call on the Elders, confess your sins, pray for one another.
Sometimes healing takes place in unusual ways. The outcome you may desire is not what God wants. It may not be a cure, but it is a healing.
The Cross of Christ is the source of healing.
