We praise the Lord that we’ve made it to the last week of 2021. As you prepare your heart and mind for a new year, here are a few things to consider doing:
- Create a list of your accomplishments.
- Create a list of the lessons you’ve learned.
- Do an audit of your life. Are you happy with your current situation? Are there things you’d like to change? If so, what are they, and what do you need to do to be in a better place this time next year? Other things to consider auditing are your finances, your relationships, your career and most importantly, your walk with Christ.
- Book outstanding appointments. When is the last time when went to the doctor or dentist or even had your car serviced? Now is a good time to book those appointments so they are already on your schedule.
- Clean out your wardrobe. Thanks to the pandemic, many of us have grown accustomed to wearing our “play clothes” now more than ever. Now is a good time to go through the clothes to see what works and what doesn’t.
- Create a vision board. Habakkuk 2:2 tells us to write the vision and make it plain… Google has many wonderful examples of how you can create a vision board.
- Make a bucket list. What are some things you’ve always wanted to do? Write them down, and then do them, even if it takes you outside your comfort zone.
- Create new habits. Did you develop any bad habits last year or even years before that you’d like to kick? Write them down and then resolve to work on them in the new year.
